Personal Care

Humane, qualified and around the clock

The main goal of the staff of the Bad Trissl Medical Centre is to see their patients safely through all phases of the disease, exploring all available possibilities on the patient's behalf. We welcome the integration of the patient's family into care and support, which helps to keep social contacts alive.

Support of personal relationships

Throughout all our wards and departments, we attach great importance to having a personal relationship with every patient. Beyond of the medical treatment, we are concerned about the holistic well-being of our guests. We build up trust through private conversations and convey warmth, comfort and security. By listening carefully, we recognise problems at early stages and can usually provide solutions.
A secretary takes care of all the paperwork and the coordination of appointments to allow nurses and doctors to spend as much time as possible with every patient.

Highest quality standards

Our hospital employs only qualified nurses. Most of our staff have been with us for many years and are educated as specialists in oncology. They continuously participate in professional development programmes. The high quality of the care and support are an important factor in our programme and contribute to both the contentment and the cure of our patients.

Stoma Care, Wound Care and Incontinence Care

Patients who have been fitted with an artificial anus after surgery need particular help. We employ a specialised therapist for care and cleansing of the stoma.

Stoma

The stoma therapist

  • aids all patients with Colostoma, Ilepstoma and Urostoma
  • teaches the patients how to care for their stoma themselves
  • offers a selection of equipment to help with problematic stomata.

Wounds

  • up to date care and materials
  • vacuum therapy

Incontinence

  • advice and help with fecal and urinary incontinence
  • selection of palliative care
  • electro stimulation/biofeedback
